Hello everyone,

How have you all been doing? Is 2025 treating you well? I really hope so.

I know you might be expecting a big reveal or a new update. It’s been a couple of months, I know, and that’s exactly what I’m here to talk about, but first, some context.

As some of you already know, I’ve been working on Heart of Amethyst by myself since August 2021. It started as a side project to help me stay sane while surviving med school. Well, here we are, three and a half years later, and I’m still working on it solo. Although I’ve had some help here and there, I never really made an effort to form a team or ask for consistent support.

Well, a lot has changed since then. I’ve started a new major and even joined an investigation group. Between those commitments and my work on HoA, the mental toll of balancing everything has caught up with me. The truth is, even when I have free time, I’m often too exhausted to work on Heart of Amethyst alone. Worst of all, I’ve even considered dropping the project altogether because of burnout.

But I’m not going to let that happen!

I love these characters too much to let them fade away, and I’m not giving the university the satisfaction of taking this from me. That’s why I’m reaching out to you today: Would you like to join the Heart of Amethyst development team?

I know it’s a big ask, especially since I can’t offer monetary compensation, but your support would mean the world to me. Here’s what I need help with:

Roles I’m Looking For:

• CODING TEAM: I need one or two people to help with coding. Honestly, the coding tasks aren’t overly complicated, and I will explain everything in great detail. While experience is appreciated, it’s not mandatory.
• BACKGROUND ARTIST: My previous artist became unavailable, so I need someone to take over. Typically, there’s only one or two new backgrounds per update, so if you have time, please consider helping.
• MUSIC EXPERT: It’s always been a dream of mine to have a unique OST for Heart of Amethyst. If you think your music fits the vibe of the project and want to contribute to a furry visual novel, I’d love to hear from you!

What to Consider Before Joining:

1. This is voluntary work for a passion project.
2. Taking on this responsibility will take time, so please make sure to have some spare time weekly to contribute.
3. Everyone interested, please send me a message! I’m available on Discord, Twitter, or Bluesky.

I know this is a lot to take in, but thank you so much for reading through it all. It means everything to me to have such a wonderful community. Even if you can’t help directly, just reading and enjoying the VN gives me the motivation to keep going.
